Maddie

Maddie is an extremely intelligent and well trained Labrador. She loves to retrieve and will do so all day as long as you can keep up with her! She lives happily with children, cats and other pets whom she adores and loves to spend time with. She has excellent breeding with both Champion show lines and Champion working lines in her pedigree. Maddie is hip scored and holds a clear eye certificate (Sept 2007). She has been Optigen tested for PRA and she's tested clear/normal, therefore she can never produce a puppy affected with PRA which is the most serious of all the eye conditions to affect Labs. 

Maddie has just blessed us with a gorgeous litter of black and chocolate puppies.  One of those puppies, Carrie (Chapelrose Little Miz Magic) has remained here with us at Chapelrose.  We also have another of Maddie's daughter's here from a previous litter, Ruby (Chapelrose Little Miz Norty).  Further details of both her daughters can be found further down this page.

Ruby is one of Maddie's little girls from her litter - August 2006.

This little girl stole our hearts and we decided that she would remain here with us at Chapelrose. Ruby has a lot of her mum's very special attributes and has been a joy to raise. She has a super temperament, a calm, level headed girl who is definitely a lot older in her head than her years.  We're sure she has been here before!!  We are extremely pleased with her hip/elbow scores and equally pleased with how this little girl is developing. She is a highly popular member of the Chapelrose household, particularly with the children and the cats!  It is hoped that Ruby will have her very first litter early 2009.  Please check back for further information.

Carrie is one of Maddie's little girls from her most recent litter - February 2008.

One of our visions here at Chapelrose was that one day we would breed our very own black girl.  We decided that the time was now right for us and we chose Maddie's husband very carefully.  We were blessed with four black girls to choose from and the decision was not easy.  All girls were extremely beautiful, with nice conformation and super temperaments.  What set Carrie from the rest?  We were just 'drawn' to her from a very young age.  As she grew, she flourished and we knew she had to stop here at Chapelrose.  Carrie is a live wire, a big personality with a very confident disposition.  Her temperament and personality remind us so very much of her mummy at the same age.  We look forward to watching her grow and flourish.  Her and Ruby have 'hit it off' and the pair of them are already up to plenty of fun and mischief whilst their mum takes a well earned rest from raising her children.  Carrie has recently passed her Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze award!  She was the star of the class and is moving straight into training for her silver award.  We are hopeful she will fly through this course as easily.....

Tikka

Tikka has an extremely calm and loving disposition. She adores children and like Maddie enjoys the company of her feline companions. She has an outstanding pedigree with Champion show lines. Her Sire is Mallorn's Mr Snowbusiness at Boothgate (IMP FIN). She has an excellent hip score and holds a very recent clear eye certificate.

Tikka has gone to live with Reverend Canon Michael and his lovely wife Louise. They contacted me as they desperately needed a companion for their long-haired German Shepherd dog who was pining the recent loss of their old Labrador. The two girls immediately hit it off and Tikka is now living the life of luxury and being thoroughly spoilt rotten. You are sadly missed here at Chapelrose Tikka but I know you are having a lovely life, please keep in touch with us.
