We were honoured to have been invited by our dog training club (Paws-itive Dog Training) to take Carrie to Crufts on Friday the 6th of March and Sunday the 8th of March 2009, to take part in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Tests Award Displays.  Carrie and I had to take part in several displays during the two days we spent there.  It was a fantastic opportunity and Carrie was an absolute star.  At just 12 months old, she took it all in her stride like she did this sort of thing every day of the week!  Here’s how we got on…

Demonstrating the minute sit/stay

Demonstrating grooming skills

Preparing to show the public how you should correctly walk through a gate/door with your dog

Walk to heel skills

At the end of both days, all the teams that took part in the displays had to enter the ring and put their dogs into a down/stay.  The commentator then timed 1 minute during which time the dogs had to stay down until told they could get up

What a super time we all had.  We are extremely proud of Carrie, very well done indeed!
